Tidewater Landing USL Championship Stadium Groundbreaking Ceremony

Now I am going to be honest with all of you. I am a soccer writer and before that covered the final years of the Pawtucket Red Sox including the final game at McCoy Stadium. Yes it goes beyond the soccer stadium but the time to invest into the sport is now and the market couldn’t be better.
As someone whose side hustle is covering the sport of soccer I have seen it’s growth over the past ten years in the state and the passion the local fans have for the sport is unlike anything you will see in sports. While the sport has been growing in the United States and the local area for quite some time the growth surrounding the 2026 World Cup is expected to be a game changer.
In the coming months the team’s name, logo, and other key information will be announced as the team projects to join USL Championship in 2024.
