Boston Cannons Sign Former Syracuse Defenseman Tyson Bomberry, Brings Physicality And Skill To Cannons Defense
The Boston Cannons continue to lock up draft picks with the Major League Lacrosse franchise announcing on Friday that there have come to terms on a contract with defenseman Tyson Bomberry for the 2019 season.
Bomberry who was drafted in the fourth round by Boston is their sixth rookie signing this year.
“Tyson brings a physical style of play to our defense,” said Head Coach Sean Quirk. “His gift to be physical along with the ability to create in transition in the open field will be a big plus for us our moving forward.”

Bomberry comes out of Syracuse University where he logged 32 career games in four seasons scoring two goals and adding two assists while logging 66 ground balls. The Ontario native also caused 29 turnovers and helped lead the Orange to the NCAA Tournament.
He is expected to be with the team for the first time as a professional athletes this Saturday and Sunday in the second weekend of Training Camp.
